Castles
North Wales is famous for it's amazing castles...and
they're all closeby - Criccieth, Conwy and king
of them all...Caernarfon. Cadw

Trains
The longest narrow guage railway in Europe has
a station stop close to the the hotel. A trip
on the Welsh
Highland Railway is a must.
Main stations are in Caernarfon and Porthmadog.
There is also the Snowdon
Railway which travels to the
summit of Snowdon so you can enjoy the spectacular
view without having to dust down your walking
boots. The embarking station is in Llanberis where
you will also find Electric Mountain as well as
many outdoor activity centres.
Portmeirion
The interesting Italianate village of Portmeirion,
designed by Clough Williams Ellis and made famous
as the setting for The Prisoner, is a short drive
away.
